Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jasper is a young male neutered min pin. At 1.5 years old he finds himself in his third home, which thankfully is with our rescue. Through no fault of his own, but that of irresponsible people who purchase a puppy and then realize puppies are work! So he is given away to another person. This person who now has a big dog and Jasper decides to get a third dog, another min join puppy purchased from a mill no doubt. After a few weeks of owning 3 dogs, he decides 3 dogs are too much. They are a lot of work! He tells me. So Jasper, the older one at 1.5 years old had to go. Yes I am angry. Dogs are for life. If you do not intend to live and care for a dog for its life which can be up to 18-20 years. Do Not Get One.
Now back to Jasper. He is an energetic boy who is a bigger min pin at 20 lbs and about 18 inches tall. He would be an excellent dog for an athletic person who runs, hikes, or to participate in Agility training and competitions. Jasper enjoys snuggling close on the couch at night after a day of playing. He loves to burrow under the blankets and sleep with his person all night. He is not a very barky dog unless genus excited about playing. He is very sensitive and I suspect he has been handled roughly in his past, if not flat out hurt. He does cringe at loud voices and fact hand motions. On the up side, positive training and food reward motivation training works well for him and he has proven to be a very smart boy and a fast learner.
Jasper must be placed in a home with a secure fenced yard. He tends to play roughly with cats and very small dogs so would be best in a home without cats. He would love a playful canine companion that is approximately his size and age to play with.
Jasper is crate trained and is ready for finally, someone to live him forever and cherish him for the rest of his life. Not just dump him when they tire if him. Jasper's adoption fee is $150.00
