Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Okay, prepare yourself to be amazed. This is one of the most unusual combinations in dogdom that I have ever seen……Mikey D is a 5 month old Terrier/German Shepherd mix puppy. He has the shaggy hair, floppy ears, and blunt features of a terrier but the coloring, size and body confirmation of a black and tan German Shepherd! This baby is only about half grown at 40+ pounds and, judging by his big puppy paws, has quite a bit of growing left to do. He is very timid and will need a bit of socialization and adjustment time, but I’m sure this neat dog will be worth every minute of it.
Come meet Mikey D in the fur at the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303 (only one hour south of Charlotte, NC) or call (864) 583-4805 to inquire. This is a family friendly facility with an indoor visitation room as well as an outdoor play area. All the dogs are inside, with heat and air conditioning, and have their own private kennel. The shelter’s visitation hours are 11AM until 6 PM Monday through Friday and 11AM until 5 PM Saturday and Sunday.
Mikey D’s adoption fee is $85 which includes his neuter surgery, Rabies, Distemper/Parvo & Bordetella (Kennel Cough) vaccinations, HW testing (Mikey D is HW negative), worming, a 24PetWatch microchip, a free follow-up wellness checkup at the shelter's clinic, as well as 1 month of free pet insurance with PetHealth Services, Inc.
