Rocky….Rocket…..Rocky Balboa…..Rock-Man……Stocky-Rocky…..Rocky Blunt…..Rocky-Cement-Blocky…..Rock o’ Gibraltar…..Rocky-doodle-dooooo! Man, let’s party! This world’s got nuthin’ but awesome in it and I’m gonna just plop myself right in the middle of it all! The name’s Rocky. I’m three years old and that’s twenty-one in human years, right? Well, that means I’m old enough to PAR-TAY, and PAR-TAY is what I aim to do. I gotta luv ya, cuddle ya, kiss ya, shimmy my fat little blocky-butt up next to ya and show ya what a fine lil’ Bulldogge-mix I am. Broad of chest and thick of thigh, I’m 53 pounds of chunk but I’m only 16 inches tall at the shoulder. So that’s why people kinda think stocky-blocky-blunt when they see me.

Lemme make one thing clear from the start: I LOVE my Dad and he LOVES me. There’s nuthin’ wrong with me and nuthin’ bad about him. Givin’ me up was the hardest thing that young man has ever had to do. But he wants me to have the life I deserve, and with his schedule and his finances and his landlord bein’ what they are, there’s just no way he could keep me with him. While we lived together in our bachelor pad, he treated me right and taught me to be a friendly and lovin’ guy. He made sure I was well cared for, vaccinated, microchipped and neutered, but then the money ran out and the landlord found out I was livin’ there. The rest of the story includes a lot of soul-searchin for both of us and a visit with The Animal Support Project. They promised my Dad they’d find a righteous home for me that’s as super-awesomific as I am.

So how do ya feel about stretchin’ out in front of the TV for a ballgame, or hikin’ in the woods where the pine needles feel so soft under your feet? Or what about a car ride to the Pet Store where everybody’s gonna ooh and ahh and giggle when they see me? Or a run on the beach where I can bounce and dig in the sand? I like chasin’ tennis balls and carryin’ sticks and pouncin’ on crickets in the fields; kissin’ kids with my big, sloppy tongue, snorin’ on the couch and stealin’ ice cream outta your dish when you’re not lookin’. Don’t know anybody who don’t like me except maybe the cats and the squirrels.
