Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sunset Animal Rescue prefers that all dogs have a securely fenced yard.
Poochie made a dramatic entry into our lives. Our neighbor drove into our backyard and one look at his wife and I almost fainted. Her arms were covered in blood, then I saw the dog. A little Spitz/Chow with blood dripping off her tongue, a lot of blood. Seems they had given her to a friend and the children of the neighborhood where he lived let her out of the yard and she had gotten hurt. So they brought her to us! Of course it was Friday at 5:55. We calmed both the lady and Poochie and the flow slowed. The new owner said he couldn't keep her. He was afraid the children would let her out a she would get hit by a car. So we gave her all her vaccines, got her spayed, microchipped and RV and dewormed. Poor Poochie would get this look if I came in the room, like what is she going to do to me now. As she got to know us she relaxed and her personality began to develop. What a love. Poochie is enjoying being a puppy even though she had a litter after her first season. She likes all the other dogs and people here. She is amazed at the TV. She only weighs 38 lbs. The way she is eating that may change. She is about half the size of a Spitz or Chow. She loves riding in the car and doing anything as long as someone is along with her. She is now crate trained & housetrained and wants to be by your side. If you'd like to bring pure love into your home request a SAR questionnaire via email sunsetanimalrescue@yahoo.com complete it and email it back to us. After checking references we will schedule a visit. Poochie's adoption donation is $250.00.
Poochie is a very sweet girl. She loves to be petted, does not mind being brushed, and was a very good girl in the bath tub. She is much prettier than her picture shows. Because she had a litter of puppies just this past February & also this is the time of year all dogs are loosing their winter coat, her normal coat of fur will gain back its luster soon with good food & good care.
