Hannah - baby (16 weeks as of Oct. 28) - female - tri-color short coat, primarily fawn colored - 23 pounds
This beautiful puppy is a perfect example of how endlessly fascinating
the ways of nature really are when it comes to breeding. Had Hannah
come to us without her mother, we would never have guessed that her
immediate ancestry could include a small, 27 pound, long haired dog
with a foxlike face. Yet that describes Hannah's mom exactly.
What we can say with certainty is that Hannah's breed composite is one
of richness and diversity, and that her family may go back many
generations in its depth and breadth of wonderful country mutts.
Hannah's simple good looks remind us a bit of a leggy brown beagle
whose head tilts with interest and curiosity. She is a level-headed,
joyful girl who reflects the stability and lessons learned by living in
the country. She has learned to get along, to listen to her mom, and to
follow the leader. Hannah is a gentle, unassuming, healthy and innocent
pup who is playful and loving.
Lean and wonderfully athletic, Hannah will be a great walking partner,
or, when she is old enough, a great jogging partner. She has that great
quality of being energetic without a hint of nervousness or hyper-ness.
We do not expect her to be a very big dog when fully grown.
Since being brought into foster care, Hannah's world has become one of
security and fun - and Hannah LOVES it. She interacts beautifully with
her foster family, including three small boys and two adult dogs. She loves to be held, petted and generally snuggled with, but her favorite thing is to have
her face and ears rubbed. She is easy-going and accepting.
Most importantly, Hannah reasons out appropriate behaviors, and truly
wants to please, which is making her a joy to train. She is naturally
soft-mouthed when she takes treats, and she seeks out love and positive
feedback.
Hannah is a beautiful and special one of a kind; she will bring joy and
fidelity to an adoptive bond.
