Tyga, not for the rapper but because he’s got beautiful "tyga" stripes in his coat. He’s a really pretty brindle, a chocolate and carmel mix thats warm and beautiful. With his white chest and gloves he looks like he’s ready for a night out on the town.
He’s good with other dogs, cats and even birds! He’s still a bit on the young side so that may change but we are hoping that lots of exposure now will make sure he stays this way. He’s a super duper dog. He is house broken and rides wonderfully in the car. He just curls up in a little ball and goes right to sleep. He’s young but looks nicely filled out so our guess at his age is about 2 and his weight is right about 42 lbs so he’s a great (and correct for the breed!) size.
Tyga escaped from his filthy pen where he lived by himself. I believe he was picked up on more than one occasion and it was determined that he could not be returned to live in that place. He was up for adoption at the shelter and when time began looking short.....we couldn’t pass him by. Of all the dogs in the shelter, he really stood out. We kept looking at the other kennels but coming right back to him. Dark colors and brindle dogs often get overlooked despite their wonderful personalities. We couldn’t wait to get him cleaned up and ready for a new home. He’s now looking for an upgrade.
Because of his former “life of crime” he’s having to learn crate training from scratch but he’s coming along nicely. He’s a super smart boy, presents great eye contact and is pretty cool to be around. He’s quickly picked up some basic skills like sit, down, stay and “wait” for his dinner. He has learned to trot on the treadmill for exercise when it’s nasty outside.
Likes to play with other dogs. Good communication skills and he acts very young and puppy like when he's playing. HW negative, fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.

Please keep in mind that we are a foster based rescue only. There is no facility where these dogs can be visited prior to application approval as they are all in private homes. This is for both the safety of our foster homes and our dogs. Please take a minute to fill out the adoption application if you are interested in one of our dogs. We also do not place our pit bulls in homes with dogs of the same gender. We adopt as single dogs or to homes with dogs of the opposite gender only. We appreciate breed experience.
