Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This gal is the queen of class. Despite her young age, only 1 year old, Tara already has a worldly air and a soulful knowing about her. In such a short life, she has already had puppies, been turned into the shelter by her former owner, and has tested positive for heartworms. Regardless of her rough start, though, this lovely smooth collie is ever so sweet. She is excellent on the leash, not pushy in the least. She is quiet and mannerly and melts into your waiting hands. Add to her lovely spirit a slick, easy-care coat with mysterious speckling over her back and you have a very unique looking dog as well.
Why not come meet Tara in person today? She is located at the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303 (only one hour south of Charlotte, NC) or call (864) 583-4805 to inquire. This is a family friendly facility with an indoor visitation room as well as an outdoor play area. All the dogs are inside, with heat and air conditioning, and have their own private kennel. Their hours are 11AM until 6 PM Monday through Friday and 11AM until 5 PM Saturday and Sunday.
Tara’s adoption fee is $85 which includes spay surgery, Rabies, Distemper/Parvo & Bordetella (Kennel Cough) vaccinations, HW testing, worming, a 24PetWatch microchip, a free follow-up wellness checkup at the shelter's clinic, as well as 1 month of free pet insurance with PetHealth Services, Inc.
Tara is HW POSITIVE. The fee for treating Tara’s heartworms will be added to her regular adoption fee. (Approximately $300+/-) Even if you can’t adopt Tara, you can subsidize her HW treatment. This shelter has an “Angel Fund” setup to accept funds designated for this purpose. Contact SHS at 864-583-4805 for more information.
