Contact rescuer direct at 310-497-0472. Please read Roxy's story below and consider being her forever family. Ideally we'd love to keep them together if possible as they are young, easy to take care of, bonded, sweet girls! Please email me a number to call you back on if you are interested in adoption. Thanks!

Name: Roxy

Age: about 2 1/2 years old

Breed/Weight/Coloring: Roxy has more of the typical Corgi markings and features. She is a golden brown & white little girl weighing in at about 15 lbs. She is a petite little girl that is long and low to the ground.

Rescue History: Roxy, along with her daughter (we assume) Mylie were dumped in an affluent neighborhood in Los Angeles. People often dump their pets in this dog loving community in hopes someone will take in their dog - sadly many of these dogs have to go to the shelter due to the lack of adopters & fosters. Roxy and Mylie were so frozen in fear that they stayed on the lawn of the home they were abandoned at for hours until somebody rescued them. Nobody had the heart to take these 2 lovebugs to a scary pound so everyone rallied to find a foster home and there they wait to be adopted.

Personality: Roxy is the more secure and independent one of the pair, but don't get us wrong, she definitely loves knowing people and loved ones are nearby. She doesn't need constant attention or affection, but will discreetly go lay by your feet under the table or make sure she's napping in whatever room you are in. Roxy is a natural model when it came to her photoshoot, she would follow us around the yard and put herself in the most adorable poses. Roxy loves having visitors over at her foster home - new people and dogs to meet is always a fun time. She is an affectionate, kind little girl who enjoys being part of a family and surrounded by comfort, stability, and love. She is non invasive in that she won't be in your space and on top of you every minute, however the comfort of being with you is all she wants. Her foster mom says she's calm and mature, an overall easy dog to take care of and assimilate into any environment. She knows how to just lay there and relax if need be or get up and accompany you on a stroll around the block. She has impeccable manners in the home and will not ruin a thing. Roxy girl is an easy first-time dog for any family or person that doesn't want to instill much training or effort into their new furry family member.

Medical: Spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, no health issues.

Would do best: Roxy could go to any type of situation and fit in just fine. A family dog, a best friend to a couple or person, etc all sounds good to her. She is quiet & well mannered enough to live in an apartment or a house/yard situation.

Cats, dogs, kids: She loved my 5 year old daughter and enjoyed getting pets and hugs from her so kids are a plus. She lives with multiple kitties in her home and just ignores them. She resides with many doggie friends from a small yorkie to a large golden retriever, she is so easy going that she gets along with all the personalities.
