Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
SPIKE is a small dog with a big personality. Spike came into our care when his owner moved in with her boyfriend and his two large dogs. For reasons known only to Spike, he decided to be aggressive towards the much bigger dogs and although friendly, they quickly began to resent Spike’s bad behavior. A fight broke out and Spike’s owner, who feared he would be badly hurt or killed, contacted Dogs Forever.
Spike is in a foster home with two Chihuahuas and a lab mix and he has been calm and friendly. He is six years old, 8 lbs., and a miniature dachshund/miniature pinscher mix.
His adoption fee is on a sliding scale of $100-150; you choose the amount that's right for you. To meet Spike, contact dogsforever@netins.net or 319-481-0977.
