My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

INITIAL BIO 04/20/2013: MEET LUCAS! He is 3 years old and weighs 6.5 lbs, although he needs to gain about a pound or so to be a healthier weight; Lucas is being fostered in West Palm Beach, FL.

Lucas won't have a problem going from skinny to healthy; there is nothing wrong with his appetite, so that should happen in no time! He was turned into a high-kill shelter and lucky for him, UYR saw the little tyke! He has only been in his home a short time, but so far he is adjusting nicely. He is very friendly and follows his foster mom everywhere. He gets along with his foster brothers and sister, and so far, is ignoring the cats. He was neutered at the shelter, and while he has lifted his leg a couple of times in the house - normal behavior for a recently neutered dog - he otherwise appears to be house-trained and runs right into the yard to do his business.

Due to his small size, we feel a home with children over 13 would be ideal, as well as a companion during the day - whether it be animal or human.
