My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you my new forever family? Woof woof, my name is Rugby (at least that seems to be the name my foster mom calls me, I’m still trying to remember to come when she says “Rugby”). A wonderful and kind lady from Illinois found me wandering around and took very good care of me until the nice people at Love a Golden rescued me. I’m about 6 years old, but I’m much bigger than my two golden foster sisters. My foster Mom says I’m a gentle giant and that I am a big handsome boy. I am learning to stay in my crate while my foster Mom goes to work and it’s not too bad once I got used to it. My favorite time is when my foster Mom sits in the swing in the backyard and lets me lay by her feet. I like being close to her in case she decides she wants to pet me! I’m looking for a nice family to love for the rest of my years. Until then, my foster family is letting me relax at their house while I recover from heartworms and they say I’ll be better real soon and ready to meet my forever family! Oh by the way I am told I am stubborn but learning to be a good boy.
