My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gene is the most brilliant dog I have ever met. She came into our rescue from the Harbor Shelter in San Pedro where she was scheduled to be euthanized. She was abandoned in a car and no one knows what happened to her owner. I took her to be evaluated by Search & Rescue and she was so smart she made it into the program. She stopped wanting to do the exercises they wanted her to do so I thought it would be best that we pull her from the program and not force her to do it. She is fine with dogs if introduced properly, she chases cats and she in unsure of kids (she has tried to nip one before so she MUST be placed in a house with NO young kids and NO cats). She is a super sweet girl who LOVES to play fetch, loves to run and hike, and loves to do anything active with you. She would love to further her training (she has lifetime guaranteed training through Doggie Do Good in Nipomo) and learn new tricks because she is so willing to work and very ball motivated. Anyone up for a sweet girl who will protect you and be your best friend?
