Jo loves to hug people. When you pick him up he puts one paw on either side of your neck and then nuzzles under your chin. Jo lived the first couple of years of his life in a very isolated, restricted environment and then went to another rescue when his owner could no longer care for him. He came to us from that rescue as he was having trouble adjusting to the foster home he was in. Since Jo first lived in such an isolated, restricted environment he is being exposed to a whole new world and sometimes his new experiences frighten him and he reacts unpredictably. Jo doesn't get along very with other cats, especially around food. Jo spent some time at a foster home where he was exposed to his new world and things went well. Jo would make a wonderful companion. He would probably be best in a home with out other cats and with older kids. We believe Jo was born around October of 2010.
Jo is neutered, feline leukemia negative, micro-chipped and all vaccinations are current. If you are seriously interested in adopting Jo or another cat, please come in and hang out with the animals so that you can get to know their personalities. Adoption policies and fees can be viewed on the Windmill Animal Rescue homepage on Petfinder.org. Note from Jo, "If you think I'm cute but can't adopt me you could choose to sponsor me by donating money for my care or come in to play with me weekly until I find my forever home!"
