Buddy and Alita are a very special and bonded pair who would like to be adopted together. We will be adopting them out for a reduced adoption donation of $200 (for both cats) so that they can stay together.
Alita, Buddy, Princess, and Nightmare came to us from a home that is facing personal difficulties and can no longer care for, or afford the cats. We are helping to place these 4 deserving cats into new homes.
Alita is a 4 year old black and white beauty with unique markings. She is female and is currently living with 3 other cats, and a dog, and gets along with everyone.
From Alita's foster mom: Aleda has been with her fosters for 1 year, and has adapted very well to having a consistent schedule. She and Buddy would do well with a single person or couple with no children or only teenage children (they are scared of young children - will hide from them). They have lived with a dog before but not recently. She has a very loud meow, which she uses to greet you and around meal time, whenever she's excited. When she meows, we have discovered it's because she wants attention, and a quick way to quiet her is simply to pick her up and pet her or brush her. She has learned how to use a sisal scratching post instead of the couch arms (though still needs reminders at times).
Likes: Being picked up and held firmly. She will start purring immediately and could lay in your arms for hours if you let her. She is even comfortable to be held while her person walks around the house, though she likes to see where she's going (this took some getting used to). Wet food! She can be a bit of a piggy and will even eat Buddy's share. Being brushed - will purr and circle rapidly for pets and brushes. Anything with catnip. Drinking water out of a glass. Treats - both Buddy and Aleda will come when the treat bag is shaken.
Dislikes: Having her nails clipped - she will struggle but if you hold her firmly she will eventually calm down and let it happen (no scratching or biting).
Overall - these two are a sweet, playful pair, looking for a stable, consistent, permanent home.
