Buddy and Alita are a very special and bonded pair who would like to be adopted together. We will be adopting them out for a reduced adoption donation of $200 (for both cats) so that they can stay together.
Alita, Buddy, Princess, and Nightmare came to us from a home that is facing personal difficulties and can no longer care for, or afford the cats. We are helping to place these 4 deserving cats into new homes.
Buddy is a handsome young shorthaired grey tabby.
From Buddy's foster mom:
Buddy has been with his fosters for 1 year, and has adapted very well to having a consistent schedule. He and Aleda would do well with a single person or couple with no children or with only teenage children (they are scared of young children - will hide from them). They have lived with a dog before but not recently. Buddy is a pleasure to care for as he doesn't mind having his nails clipped, and has learned how to use a sisal scratching post instead of the couch arms (though still needs reminders at times). He is not big on wet food, prefers dry, though we still offer him wet food daily. He is the nurturer in his relationship with Aleda, and will groom her until she's fed up with it. Buddy's favourite time to curl up with you and be petted is TV time - he loves snuggling down in the evenings. He is very good at hiding when he is scared, it may take a while to find him.
Likes: Drinking water out of a glass or the bathroom sink. Chasing toys. Rolling onto side to be petted all over - he will hold onto your hand with both paws and lick it like a popsicle. Anything with catnip. Cat grass.
Dislikes: sudden loud noises, being picked up and held. He prefers to be a lap cat. Vacuums or brooms - he will run and hide on cleaning day.
Buddy is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed rescue. His adoption donation is $165. All of our cats are spayed or neutered,
microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. Please fill out an application at our website
