Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We would like to explain that if you are looking for a perfect dog, they are rarely found in rescue. Our dogs often have unknown histories and we do our very best to evaluate each dog with kids, cats, and other dogs as well as determine how they behave in a home. It is important to understand that we have some specific criteria for each dog based on their backgrounds and input from their foster families. The purpose of these criteria is to better match each dog with an appropriate family. While a certain dog might appeal to you based on breed, size, gender or appearance, you may not match the listed criteria. Please understand that we are not trying to make adoption difficult—we are trying to make each adoption successful for the dog and the new family.

If you have children, we suggest that prior to applying for a dog, you view the website http://www.livingwithkidsanddogs.com. The information is excellent and can help you determine which dog would be right for your family.
Wobe, short for Wobegon, is a precious, sweet tiny chihuahua who's only mom died of cancer several weeks ago. He is confused and upset and is in urgent need of a new mom to help him get over his grief. Wobe is 9 years young and he weighs all of 5 pounds. He has been very well cared for all his life, and he will be a wonderful companion to a new mom for the next 5-7 years as chis have long lifespans. Wobe will do best in a home with one or two adults, no kids at all, and another small dog or cat would be fine. If his human was retired and home, he would be content as an only dog. Wobe is nippy with people he doesn't know and is a charming lap buddy with his friends like most chis. He is house trained--in and out quickly in the winter, and in decent weather (if it ever returns) he enjoys short walks or going on car rides. Wobe is hoping that he will find another adult who will love him as much as his mom did. He is with a 501c3 rescue and he is completely vetted and up to date. His adoption fee is $125.00. Please open your heart and home to this tiny treasure who has a full heart of love to share with you!
To ensure that this dog thrives in his new home and that the adoption works out for the dog and your family, these are the requirements for adoption. These criteria are not negotiable. If you do not meet these criteria, please choose another dog that will work out better for your family.
• Homeowners: Not required, apt. condo or townhome okay
• Status of adopter: 35- 70
• Previous dog owning experience: Small dog experience preferred
• Age of children: None--doesn't like kids
• Another dog in the home: Is used to living with another chi
• Cat(s) in the home: Safe with cats
• Fenced yard: Preferred but he will potty on a leash
• Time alone on work days: Could be alone for a work day but is used to being with his mom all the time.
