Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATED BIO 08/12/2013: FAITH is 2 years old and weighs 9 lbs 9 oz ~ we believe Faith is a Dandie Dinmont Terrier mixed with Yorkshire Terrier); she is being fostered in Punta Gorda, FL.
Hi everybody- It is me ~ Faith. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts during my recovery from being hit by a car. My Dogtor says I am doing amazing, and she is very happy with all my hard work to get well. My big foster sister Daisy has been taking great care of me. I still walk funny when I walk really fast, but foster mom says it looks cute. I am a 2 year old full of life and energy and need a yard that is fenced- in so I can run and play and not get hit by another car. I don’t really like kids or cats. I like walks, and I am good on car rides. Did I also tell you I am house-trained? Well, yep I am……see how smart I am? Could you be my new family? I will love you forever and ever………………Love, Faith

UPDATED BIO 06/27/2013: Hi everyone- It’s Faith. I am doing amazing. I went to the dogter, and she gave me the ok to play and run. I am now a happy little girl, who loves to play and race and go for walks with my foster mom and my other fur sisters. I can’t begin to thank everyone who helped me get well. Dogter said she is very surprised I lived through all my injuries, but now I a happy love bug who wants a furever home. I am potty trained to go outside, and I can also use wee wee pads. I have separation anxiety when left alone, so my new home needs people who are home with me. I also would be happiest by myself. I sometimes like other animals, then sometimes I don’t. I do not understand that one. I also don’t like all children. So to be safe, I would say no children. I just got something called a spay, my toofers were cleaned, and I went to the beauty shop. Sooooo. I am so ready to meet you.
Love, Faith
UPDATED BIO 04/25/2013: FAITH is 2 years old and weighs 9 lbs 9 oz; she is being fostered in Punta Gorda, FL.
Well hi everyone, it is me the new United Yorkie Baby- Faith. I have had a long month, I think I was hit by a car. Foster mom and dad have been taking me back and forth to Tampa to put my body back together. I had something called a FHO, and pins are in my body, but ya know what? I am walking like a big girl. I have this funny walk, where I take three steps, and then hop. You can probably adopt me now, if you promise to take me to Tampa for my final checkups. I also need someone who is home all day to take me on my walks, and help me with my separation anxiety. Foster Mom says, when she picks me up now, I don’t feel like I am all broke inside, and I am putting something on my bones called meat? Does that make sense? I am a totally loveable, kissable, little sweetheart, who wants to please you, and help you with anything and everything in your house. I can be an escape artist, when my legs work right, so I think that is how I got hit by a car. Open the door, and I just am totally curious on whatever is on the outside of that door. But really I am only 2, what do you expect from a 2 year old? My big long incision is totally healed, and the hair is coming in nicely. I need someone who is patient, and willing to help me heal, and get stronger. Could this be you? I really am a stich, and will keep you laughing all day long.
Love and kisses.

UPDATED BIO 04/07/2013: FAITH is 2 years old and weighs 9 lbs 9 oz; she is being fostered in Punta Gorda, FL. Faith was picked up by Animal Control after being hit by a car and had serious and multiple injuries. She was unable to walk. However, she had surgery last week which repaired her dislocated hip. It was further found that in addition to her other injuries, she also had a broken bone in her ankle and a broken toe – bless her heart! The vets believe that her other injuries will heal by themselves and she is doing amazingly well. She has returned to her foster home and is only allowed to walk when taken on potty breaks. She is very loving and feels so much better. Faith’s surgery was expensive, and in order for UYR to continue to take in dogs like Faith with multiple injuries, we rely on our wonderful and generous donors. Please consider donating to Faith’s vetting expenses so that we can help others like her in the future. Thank you to those of you who have donated – you ARE appreciated!
UPDATED BIO 03/25/2013 FAITH is a beautiful 2 year old 9 lb 9 oz female yorkie mix (we believe she is a Dandie Dinmont Terrier mixed with Yorkshire terrier); she is being fostered in Punta Gorda, FL. At first, it was thought that Faith was paralyzed in her rear legs, most probably as a result of being hit by a car; however, after having radiographs taken this morning, it has been determined that she has a bilateral fracture of her pelvis and fracture of the head of femur. The surgery to correct these fractures could be $4,000 to $5,000 - please help us help Faith by donating towards her medical expenses! Any amount is appreciated...........thank you!
INITIAL INQUIRY 03/23/2013: MEET FAITH! She is a beautiful 2 year old 10 female Yorkshire terrier who was picked up as a stray by a high-kill shelter. Faith presented with old lacerations on her rear legs, and is currently paralyzed both rear legs ~ she cannot stand on them. This could be caused by her being hit by a car, a fracture of the pelvis or hip, or the long bones of her legs. She does have deep pain sensation on both rear legs, which is encouraging. She will be seen by a specialist as soon as possible to determine the extent of her injuries. Please say some prayers that Faith will be able to regain the use of her rear legs; she may require an expensive surgery, so we are also asking for donations for sweet Faith who was set for euthanasia today. Thank Goodness our South Florida Team came together and rescued this little princess.
