I'm just a sweet old soul, a puppy in a big body, who's hard a rough start and would love to have a home of my own. Most days I can be found sunning myself on the porch, lounging around in the grass, or playing a game of chase with my best pal Big Moose. I'm a dog with an unknown past, one of two young pups who showed up on the property hungry, frightened and looking pretty haggard. But Perry was patient with us and left food and water until we trusted him enough to follow him into the safety of our own kennel.
When we were strong enough, Perry took us to Dr. Snodgrass where we got all our shots and were spayed and neutered. The vet guessed me to be a Lab and Golden mix, with an estimated birthdate of March 2010. I'm a solid 55 pounds, with an exceptional coat and coloring that changes from Red, to Golden to a magnificent Chestnut. And I love to be outdoors in the fresh air and then come in at night for a snuggle by the fire or the warmth of being with someone who will love me forever. I will walk by your side and kiss your hand and stay at the door stoop until you return watching over our home.Yes, there is sometimes a bit of sadness in my eyes, but I'm a loving dog and adore human contact.
Since I'm still learning the ropes, I'll definitely need a fenced yard to be safe in, as I have a fearless spirit and don't yet know all the dangers out in the world, especially cars. My spirit is strong so I will do best with a gentle hand and firm voice to guide me and teach me how to behave. I want to grow into the best dog I can be. Are you that very special someone who would love to have me in their life? May I please come home with you, forever?
