Lily was taken from her owner due to neglect and spent two weeks in the shelter without care. She was pulled by the rescue just 24 hours prior to euthanasia. Lily was covered in blood from her scratching the oozing sores caused by demodex mange and was 15 pounds underweight. Over the last five months Lily has put on some weight, managed to build up her immune system to fight off the mange, gained a new coat and learned how to be a fun loving dog. She has manners when it comes to taking treats and eating meals in addition to learning basic commands. Lily gets along well with my neutered 5-yo Olde and enjoys the company of other well behaved dogs. Lily is mange free!! Due to prior neglect, Lily has a couple more medical issues to overcome before permanent placement. She is available for meet and greets and applications are being accepted for those interested in adopting Lily.
A home visit will be conducted prior to adoption. A meet and greet with all members of the household (including other dogs) and a 24 hour overnight stay with Lily will be required to ensure the right fit. Adoption fee includes: spay, current vaccines, bag of food, toy, leash/collar, 3-month supply of NuVet Supplements and microchip. The fee also helps to offset current medical costs. Lily is located in Sierra Vista, AZ. Due to Lily’s medical history she must be an indoor dog. She does require access to the yard but she will NOT be kept in a backyard.
