Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Daphne; she is a Bernese Mountain Dog. Daphne is around 7 years old. She and her friend Seuss came into rescue not to long ago. Daphne is in pretty rough shape and appears to have lived outside her entire life. She was severely matted, and dirty. Upon coming into rescue it was immediately noticed she had a limp. She was rushed to the emergency vet to have x-rays where it was discovered she had an ACL tear, and sever arthritis in her back, along with a soft ball size lump on her chest. It is also apparent she is very over weight; the vet said she is close to 40pounds over weight. We are hoping in close to six weeks Daphne can go in to have her ACL tear repaired. The vet wants her to attempt to lose some weight before she goes into surgery so it will be easy on her. Daphne is a wonderful girl; she deserves to have a wonderful rest of her life. Her vet bills are quiet hefty, if you can donate to her care any help is appreciated! Thank You So Much.
UPDATE:
We had Daphne’s lump tested to see if it was cancerous. It has tested to be just a fatty tumor! Yaya!!!!
Daphne is not ready for adoption yet but will be after she is all fixed up!
