Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Remy - A caring resident that has helped many of the animals in her East End, Houston trailer park community had been feeding a young stray dog we named Remy. After Remy was hit by a car, he disappeared in the trailer park’s laundry area until someone found him a few days later.
Luckily, Barrio Dogs was able to get Remy to the vet, where he had FHO (femoral head ostectomy) surgery to repair his hip. He spent several days in the hospital before being released to a medical foster. He is doing great and is ready for a forever home.
Remy is about 1½ years old and the size of a small lab. He has been fully vetted and is being spayed soon; he had to recover from his surgery before he could be spayed. We think he is a chocolate Lab/Rottweiler mix. He has a very sweet and loving personality; the staff at the vet hospital fell in love with him while he was there. His medical foster cannot keep him much longer and if a new foster or an adopter doesn’t step up, he will have to go into boarding.
Remy has had a very difficult life until now but we would like to find him a great home where he can enjoy the love and comfort he deserves. Please contact us at info@barriodogs.org if you can help.
