Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bio Update 3/30/13: Chester has changed foster homes due to no fault of his (former foster mom was just very, very busy) and now is temporarily calling Westfield, IN home until he finds his furever family. We now believe that Chester is a Silky Terrior/Yorkie Terrior mix, not that it matters all that much, he is still so very handsome (and that one ear up/one ear down look makes him so cute)!! He is approximately 1 year old per the vet that saw him and weighs 8.4 pounds (he has gained about a pound since he was found and could stand to put on a little more weight as he was found very hungry and underweight.) He is a very good boy when playing with other dogs and even tolerates a 12 week old puppy pulling and chewing on him without as much as a growl. With that said, Chester's favorite passtime is sitting in foster mom's lap or next to her on the couch and getting attention. He is a very, very loving boy and very people oriented!! He will come running when foster mom says "bye bye" and loves to ride in the car. Chester was neutered a little less than 2 weeks ago and is doing great. For the most part, he is housebroken, he has on a couple of occasions lifted his leg to mark (after all he is in a houseful of male dogs) but stops immediately when "No" is spoken. It appears that all Chester is missing at this time is a furever family and home. If you feel that you would like to make Chester's life complete, please be sure to fill out an application quickly as a handsome boy like him will surely find a home fast!!
Bio update 3/14/13: I have good news to report that I just went to the vet and everything came back that I am healthy I just need to gain some weight. I am scheduled to be neutered on 3/18 and I will be ready for adoption after that. My foster mom says that I am very funny and a joy to have around. When it comes time to watch TV at night I love to cuddle and sleep on your lap. I love my yorkie friends at my foster home and I enjoy to play with them. I am a little uncertain about the big dogs but I am adjusting very well. I am house trained and crate trained but I do like to lift my leg from time to time. My foster mom has me wear a pee pad and then she doesnt have to worry about me if I have an accident. I might do better with that once I get fixed. If you are looking for your next best friend for life than I am your man. I like meeting new people and I enjoy car rides and will go anywhere that you take me.
Initial Bio 03/12/13: Hi I'm Chester. A good Samaritan found me running down the Lloyd Expressway in Evansville, Indiana on 3/9. They gave me a place to stay for a few days, along with a super-cute name! They bathed me and brushed out my matted coat (which eventually needed to be shaved off). I was so hungry and thirsty. It had appeared that I was on my own for a while. They contacted UYR who brought me in as a foster dog. Foster mom spent many hours looking up lost dogs on websites, but had no luck finding anyone matching my description. She thinks I am a young Yorkie-Poo. I am not neutered either. She is going to bring me to the vet for a check-up and then will make an appointment for me to be altered. Foster mom says I am friendly and enjoy the company of the other dogs in the house. Please follow my story and I will update you after my appointment with the vet
