Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Many thanks to Jenn Wilson at letmeshootyourpet.net for taking professional pictures of Captain Jack!**
Captain Jack Sparrow (or “Captain Jack” for short) is an adorable, dwarf dutch lop-eared rabbit.
Captain Jack’s previous owner moved and no longer had the space or time to properly care for him. He is approximately 2 years old and is a sweet-natured, curious bunny.
Captain Jack is enjoying the new large pen that he is living in at his foster home, he loves that he now has the space to hop around and do bunny-binkies (i.e. bunny-dancing). He also gets free time out of his enclosure each day for exercise and socialization, but isn’t quite confident enough in his new home to wander to far from the safety of his pen.
Captain Jack is not at all afraid of the resident dog and the two of them can be free in the same room, as long as they are closely supervised. Because he came from a loving home, Captain Jack is fine to be handled and actively seeks affection from his foster mom; however, he doesn’t always like to sit still when being held.
Captain Jack is neutered and litter-box trained and is well on his way to becoming a wonderful house-rabbit.
Rabbits make delightful and affectionate companions. They are smart, playful, and form tight bonds with their human families. Just like any household pet, bunnies require committed and attentive owners. Make sure to first do your research on proper rabbit care (www.rabbit.org), to make sure that adopting a rabbit is the right choice for your family.
Captain Jack is available for adoption through Grand River All-Breed Animal Rescue! His adoption fee is $60 and he is neutered. If you are interested in him, please visit our website: www.grandriverallbreedrescue.ca You can also reach us by email at GrandRiverRescue@hotmail.com
