Dancer is a 5 month old black hoodie, named for her hyperactive behavior and pronounced head bob. Dancer was put on medication when she arrived in hopes that her condition was something treatable like an inner ear infection, but the medication had no effect and the conclusion is that Dancer has a permanent neurological issue that, according to her former owner, began at approximately 8 weeks of age. There is a possibility that Dancer is a stargazer rat, with a condition similar to Tourette's Syndrome in humans.
Head bob aside, she is a bright-eyed, busy, curious girl. She does have a habit of nipping, and I sometimes wonder if it's not an attempt to "catch" things as her bobbing head goes by, or to still herself. She is able to to eat and drink normally.
Dancer is bonded with her cage mate Dani, who is not special needs. They must be adopted together.
