UPDATE 04/12/13: Bentley is a sweet 2-year-old 11 pound Silky Terrier; he is being fostered in Miami, FL.
Hey Fans! It's me, Bentley! I've been in FM's home for a little while now and I must say that I'm very happy that UYR saved me. I'm a bit shy at first and I'm still scared of people when I don't know them but as soon as they show me that they are nice I feel better.
Once I get to know you a bit, I will love to be on your lap giving you kisses and asking you to play with me. I LOVE playing! Speaking of playing, my favorite game is fetch. Yup, I'm the fastest silky terrier in town! Since I'm a young boy I've got lots of energy. I will happily play with my toys and squeak away. When FM tells me its time to quiet down, I listen to her like a good boy. I also enjoy going on a nice walk. So far I like the small doggies FM has introduced me to. I'm not too sure about big doggies though, they kind of scare me. But other than that I do great! FM says that I'm a good little boy. I go potty outside and use a wee wee pad too. She also says that I'm the best cuddle buddy she's ever had. She makes me blush!
I'm having so much fun at FM's home but I really need a family to call my own. Please consider adopting me. I promise to love you forever, just give me a chance to show you how great I am. FM asked me to remind my fans that I need a home with an active family, no children and a fenced in yard so I can play.
Update 03/10/13: INITIAL BIO 03/10/2013: Bentley is a sweet 2-year-old 11 pound Silky boy who was rescued on his last day from a high kill shelter. On his last day, his foster mom went to go see him. He was terrified and cowering in the back of his steel metal cage. He was a little fearful and showed that he did not quite trust people yet. Foster mom told him she was springing him from that place and put him in the car and took him home.
Once they got home, foster mom had to shave him because his fur was all matted. She gave him some food, a warm bath, and a nice fluffy bed. He showed her he is a very good boy once he gets to know you. He goes potty on a wee wee pad and outside. He did have an accident in the house with number two, but that's to be expected. Bentley still needs to be neutered, but he's starting to cough a little. Once the kennel cough is resolved, he will be neutered and will be ready to go to the right home. We are thinking since he doesn't trust people much yet, right now we are thinking he would be better in a home with no children. He loves to play with toys and run around. I yard with a fence would be ideal for this young active boy. Thanks for looking and helping us give him a second chance.
