Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This dog is really very sweet. She came to us with some puppies that have all been adopted out of course! Now it is mommies turn! Allie is a very short, slick coated Lab/Pointer mix. Her tail is bobbed. She is a very smart and loving dog. She LOVES other dogs. She can run and play and she has excellent endurance. Allie is very young. She is under a year old. We rescued her from a high kill shelter in Kentucky! Please give this beauty a chance!
Please email us only regarding the adoption of our canines. We are very sorry but we simply do not have time to return everyone's phone calls as we are a very small and all volunteer group who also work full time jobs. We will return your emails however in a timely fashion. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
Please email courtneyvalent@hotmail.com to get an adoption application for me emailed to you. You will be so glad you did. Be sure to write ALLIE in the subject line of the email. Thank you for checking me out. I will be waiting to hear that you emailed about me!!!
If you cannot adopt but you would like to help you can make a donation or sponsorship to defray the cost of our high vetting bills. Please send to: EARS, 2 Fancher Ave, Salamanca, NY 14779. We are in need of help for our spay and neuter clinics and emergency angel fund as more and more animals need our help out of this weather! Any amount is greatly appreciated!!! Did you know that your donation to EARS is also tax-exempt? That's just an added bonus to helping a homeless animal in need!
Why Adopt?
Adopting rather than shopping for your next pet will help to reduce the number of animals euthanized. Adopting a pet actually saves TWO LIVES as you free up space for another animal in need to find lasting love through the wonder of adoption.
You’ll get a pet who is spayed or neutered, vaccinated and healthy. As opposed to purchasing or getting a “free to a good home” pet, you’ll welcome a fully-vetted companion animal in to your life.
Contrary to popular belief, the vast majority of shelter pets are homeless through no fault of their own. Divorce, financial constraints, time limitations and NOT the animal’s health &/or behavior are the most common reasons an animal is left homeless.
You’ll save money. Many pets in the shelter system are already spayed or neutered and if not, shelters often receive a discount from their participating veterinarian and passes the savings on to the adoptive family. Also, adoption fees are much less expensive than buying from a breeder or pet store.
