Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is the story of Lowry, a sweet talking bully breed mix.
Argued to be either Scottish or Irish, the name Lowry is said to derive from the ancient pre 10th century personal name 'Labhradha', meaning 'spokesman, and as such was originally given to the chief of the clan, the one chosen to speak on behalf of the community.
Lowry talks a lot. She always has something to say. She should, her life up until now has been a real hell. She was found freezing and pregnant out near Terrell sometime last October. Perhaps she escaped a bad breeder. Wherever she came from, it was not a good place. She delivered her puppies at the Animal Shelter and they all were adopted. Alone and lonely, Lowry was left behind at the shelter. After another 3 months, she was set to be euthanized. We heard about her and upon seeing how sweet she was, we knew she had to be saved.
Lowry is living in a foster home with three other dogs. Lowry loves other dogs, especially boys. And, she loves to give kisses. She is house trained now, and sleeps in her crate. She snores and once had a bad dream. Her foster mommy had to wake her up from the nightmare of haunting memories.
Lowry does love to talk. She talks more than most huskies. She loves to run and is excellent on a leash. A runner would have the best companion with Lowry. She is loving to all people and children.
Lowry weighs just 45 pounds. She is spayed, current on shots and in excellent health. She is small for a bully breed. Lowry has a deep desire to please. Her intelligence is amazing. Becoming attached to Lowry is very easy! She will talk her way right into your heart.
