Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
HeartBreaker is ready for his retirement home. When I pulled him from the shelter I thought he would be living his last few days with us. He had been picked up as a stray and they had planned to euthanize him. I named him HeartBreaker because I honestly thought he was going to break my heart! A trip to the Vet and a set of X-rays, revealed that he had pneumonia and a grade 4 heart murmur. He had to be fed by hand, had trouble walking, and horrible infected skin and ears. He has healed up very well now and I think he would do well in a quiet home with some one to spoil him and give him the love he deserves for the time he has left. You know- none of us are guaranteed a tomorrow. He will need to be on a heart pill and diuretic. He is pretty good about going outside to potty but is not 100% house broke, so if this is a big problem, do not consider him to adopt. Because he is so tiny(only 3.5 lbs) he could easily be hurt by larger and very active dogs. Only homes with out children will be considered. We loves kids, but have found that a tiny dog like this could easily and accidentally be injured. Also we have noted that some families withy kids today are so busy that when things get too hectic, the pets can easily get neglected. Although HeartBreaker is toothless he likes a tiny dry kibble. (just think-no bad breath and no dentals!)He also loves lots of fresh water, a soft bed in his own 'bedroom'(crate) and a heating pad to warm his tiny bones. Not much, considering how neglected he was in the past. He is very skittish and will shy away, but he is really learning how to love and be loved. HeartBreaker is deaf but the best thing about HeartBreaker is that he DOES NOT BARK! So if you think this special fellow might fit in with you and yours please email us for an application. See HB's videos of his progress from his first day here until now :http://www.youtube.com/watch? and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySQ_fWgNZnU and now http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FVuvOmesSI See HeartBreakers first pics as we came out of the shelter http://picasaweb.google.com/harris.elaine/ElaineAndHeartBreaker
HearBreaker is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, neutered, heart worm negative and started on heart worm prevention and flea prevention. Please email us for an adoption questionnaire.******************************************************Adoption donation(100.), a home visit, two personal and one Vet references will be required. ***********************************************************
