Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This little girl is Honey. She is a shy, beautiful, and will make someone a wonderful new best friend. Honey’s best friend now is our larger dog Terra. Honey is like Terra’s shadow and likes to think she is a big dog too. Honey has a grade 3 heart murmur and needs a pill once a day. An Xray shows that her heart looks good.
She has a problem with her front right leg. An Xray of her leg showed that it was broken and not set in the past. Expensive surgery (which our rescue cannot afford) could be an option in the future, but is not necessary for her to live a good life. She still can run around like a coyote in the back yard.
Honey has had a difficult life and has not known what it is like to be loved and cared for. If you adopt Honey you will truly be rescuing her. You must expect that she will take time to warm up to her new family. She is not physically perfect. Beautiful yes, but she does have the leg and heart defect. Also, it may take a while to get her 100% potty trained(we are working on that) Be aware that she runs away when you need her to come to you. There is a reason for that. She has had a hard past. It is up to us to teach her that when she comes to us we will treat her with love and kindness. Honey will need a fenced yard to run in. Please do not ask us to make an exception to this- Honey loves to run on and should be able to. If you worry about dog fur and dirty carpets please do not consider Honey. She is a neat little girl, but does not know how not to shed, and certainly does not know how to keep carpets clean. Honey is so small (only 6.6 lbs) that she needs to be an inside dog and will want company during the day so she will not be lonely. Honey will not be happy to be carried in a purse. She thinks she is a regal coyote, and would be very humiliated to be just an accessory. No children please. We have nothing against children (love them to death) but in today’s world, kids and parents are so busy that many times the pets are the first thing to get neglected when there is just not enough time for everything. There it all is. No holding back. If Honey seems like a match for you and yours, please email us for an application. Here is Honey's first day at PomRescue.com video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_SQiOL9V0c and here is honey now http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Blxt3kHbLdI ***
Honey is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, spayed, heart worm negative and started on heart worm prevention and flea prevention. Please email us for an adoption questionnaire. .******************************************************Adoption donation(175.), a home visit, two personal and one Vet references will be required. ***********************************************************
