Katie was rescued 2/28/13 from a kill shelter where she was treated for a deep laceration with a drain tube and stitches; the drain tube has been removed; she is on antibiotics and has stitches down her right leg that will be removed in about 1 week.

Katie says: I am a sweetheart and very loving if I do say so myself! Other canines scare me at first and I let out a big bark. Then I wag my tail and play bow! I have a very cute sit and no one has to ask me - especially cute for dinner and treats! I lay on any bed including the crate bed and the dog beds in the living room and next to my foster mom’s bed. I take naps on them when I’m tired without being asked. My foster mom lets me nap on the big bed with my foster brother too. I follow her around the house and the yard and I like to meet others who visit. My tail goes thump, thump, thump when I am happy. My favorite activity is to lie in the grass in the sun. I enjoy tennis balls and carrying around toys in my mouth. When I see the leash, I usually hide, but my foster mom convinces me to put it on and off we go! I love to walk with the big dog! I hardly weigh anything so walking is super easy with me. My foster mom pets me all over on my feet, tummy, ears, and face and she puts her hands in the food bowl. I can’t wait to meet a family to love!
