Sweet 13 year old Tango came to us from a sad and horrible situation of neglect. She, along with 6 other cats and a dog, belonged to two older gentlemen who had fallen on very difficult times. They couldn’t afford to feed themselves, let alone their pets, there was no electricity and the house was covered in filth and feces. The animals were all emaciated, flea infested and struggling to survive. Luckily, this story is on its way to a happier ending. An old family friend had found out about the situation and decided to put out calls for help. Two or our volunteers saw the post and immediately went there with food for everyone. Tango and Lester are fostered together and eating meals regularly now.
Most of the cats are seniors, Tango being the oldest at approximately 13 years old. They’ve all been through so much and are now looking for loving homes in which they can live out their golden years peacefully and happily. Tango is a small girl, weighing only 5 lbs, but with regular meals will gain some weight soon. She is now flea free and enjoying her time at her foster home. She loves to be fed wet food and can get really vocal when she smells it, letting you know she’s excited to be fed. She’s not very attention seeking, but she does enjoy laying next to her foster mom and getting petted. She’s a very calm and quiet old gal who just needs someone to love her. She is a little curious about a couple of toys and she good with other animals. After the terrible life she’s been through, all she needs is someone to love her and give her the happy ending we know she deserves
