Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Maisy Cowgirl is an exceptional beauty of a blue heeler - she's spayed, heartworm negative, about 23 lbs, 9 -10 years old and loves the outdoors. Maisy has had some very hard times in her life - we think she was used as a breeder - and needs a truly wonderful. loving home. Australian Cattle dogs (ACD's) are sometimes called "hairy tumors" because, ever curious about what's going on and firmly bonded to their human, they follow you around everywhere and in this regard Maisy is no exception. Even doing the laundry is an adventure with an ACD. She loves to follow you all around wherever you go - you've got a friend!
Maisy is also a very talented frisbee catcher, swimmer and hiker tho' some of her more extreme expressions, like catching a frisbee 8 feet up in the air, have slowed down a little. Often after going to the dog beach, Mai would tire herself out so much that we'd have to bring her food to her. Conversely, she loves hanging out on an oval raft in the swimming pool, just chillin' - that's where she gets her best thinking done.
Maisy is also a wonderful affectionate companion who can be at times quite hilarious. For example, if she's very happy and giving enthusiastic kisses, she can sometimes rub her gums on your face to express her total love. Mai-mai loves passionately - Klingon style! - a little rough and tumble but with all her heart! Generally she's kind of quiet, but is a good guard dog when something's amiss and it's then that she'll raise the hue and cry.
Maisy Cowgirl gets along with other dogs pretty well, except for those who look a lot like sheep! She'll get all bossy and try to herd the ones who are white and fluffy (like our Wheaten terrier). Guess that's hard wired in! Please give us a call email us if you're interested in having Maisy Cowgirl join your family. Mai-mai's foster parents can be reached at 727-321-1980 or lilywidget@hotmail.com. Thanks so much for your interest in this awesome Cowgirl!
