Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We have decided, with a heavy heart, to find new homes for our 2 dogs due to our increasingly busy schedule and downsizing out of our home. It has become increasingly difficult to give them the best home and time deserved. We would LOVE to keep them together, but we realize this may be a difficult request, so we are willing to separate them if needed.
Shadow is a 55 pound Black Lab mix and will be 7 years young next month. She has been a member of our family since she was 8 weeks old and is truly a big loving baby. She is fantastic with everyone, including children and cats. She will let them climb on her, play with her and love on her - and she loves hugs and kisses. She LOVES playing with other dogs! She believes she is a human sometimes, so she likes to be on the furniture with her family. Shadow attending the Basic Obedience class at Francis Kennels when she was about 1 yr old...she listens when she wants to, or if food is involved as a treat :) She is spayed, healthy and gets regular vet checkups and vaccinations. Her perfect home would be a family home, with children and a fenced yard and maybe another dog(s) that likes to play as much as she does. She needs someone who has the time to give her and treat her as a true member of the family. She does NOT like to be crated, but she does great left out on her own.
Allie is about 40 pounds, and is 6.5 years young. We believe she is an Australian Shepherd Mix. She became a member of our family 4 years ago when we rescued her from a shelter. She had never had a home before ours, and she adapted amazingly well. She has a small herding instinct and is fairly protective of her food, but she is a great loving dog and very loyal. She loves to run and has an amaxing amount of energy. She is spayed, healthy and gets regular checkups and vaccinations. Her perfect home would be a very active person or couple. She does well with children and some other dogs and cats, but with her herding instinct and sensitive nature when startled or with food, I would recommend no small children, just to be safe. She has never bitten anyone but has snapped before, and I wouldn't want any accidents to happpen and her to suffer consequences because of it.
Both dogs have stayed at Francis Kennels several times and have always done very well.
