My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATED BIO 2/5/2013: Cokie here! I am a 1 year old 4.5 lb little munchkin. Hey, did you hear I had my hernia surgery?? Dogtor said it was humongous! I am now doing GREAT! (The rescue still needs help paying my bills though!) I potty outside or on wee pads...... But I like to poop anywhere haha.
My new foster mom and dad are in Key West, FL. I'm having so much fun running and playing. However, mom says I'm alpha... whatever that means, and that I'd do best as an only dog. She says I also like to be underfoot and wouldn't love one of those little humans in my home. It's not that I wouldn't like them. I'm just a delicate flower, you know?
So if you like a snuggle butt kissy face girl (those are my favorite things to do), then I'm your girl! Contact my foster mom okay??

NITIAL BIO 01/17/2013: Meet Cokie! She is the newest girlie on the block. Cokie is only about a year old and weighs 4 lbs. Cokie was rescued from a high kill shelter because - despite her awesome personality, loving nature, housetraining with pee pads, friendliness with other dogs, and general fabulousness - Cokie was likely surrendered because she has a two LARGE inguinal hernias. These hernias are requiring the intervention of a specialist and the use of specialized surgical equipment to close them properly and safely (and permanently!).
Cokie is a fantastic puppy and will make some family very happy! Because of Cokie's small size and tendency to be underfoot, we are not considering any families with children under 12. Thank you for reading about this sweetheart! We can't wait to help her and are asking for help to make that possible. Can you help donate to fix poor Cokie's tummy?
