Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Captain Jack is a lovely senior (estimated 8-10 years old) male Maine Coon-like adventurer. He probably has some other mix but Maine Coon is the dominant breed. Maine Coon cats are known as the “gentle giants”. They are a large breed, extroverted, sociable, with a loving nature, a kind temperament and a keen intellect. This describes Captain Jack to a “T”.
He came to us after an adventure mishap when he was found in a ditch with a broken leg, severe burns and infections from embedded gravel throughout his hind end (Nov., 2012) It is thought he was thrown from a vehicle. When he came to us he was in bad shape and couldn’t walk. Thanksfully given time he can now walk !
Through love and gentleness and his perseverance to love others he has rallied back and is ready to find a safe harbor he can call his forever home. He is fully house trained and is on a restricted diet of ‘diabetic’ wet and dry food as his blood sugar had some abnormal readings while he was recovering from his trauma. He does not have Diabeties but should stay on this food so we can ensure that won’t happen !
He is very affectionate and talkative and really needs an indoor home so he is not using up any more of his 9 lives.
