AFTER WE HAVE AN APPLICATION ON FILE WE WILL COMMUNICATE SPECIFICS ABOUT THAT PARTICULAR DOG. WE ARE A SMALL RESCUE, OVERWHELMED BY THE NUMBER OF DOGS WE HAVE IN OUR FOSTER PROGRAM AND ARE UNABLE TO ANSWER OR CALL UNTIL WE HAVE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION.
Meet Vixen, a 4 year old stray, surrendered to the rescue when her owner could not be located. It's apparent that Vixen was used for breeding and was most likely "dumped" by her breeder when she wasn't as profitable as they expected. This happens very often in the dark world of backyard breeding. Vixen doesn't seem to enjoy the company of other dogs and would be best suited as an only dog. She is very sweet with her humans and does well with children. She is healthy and quite a bit overweight. She is on a weight reduction program until she reaches a more healthy weight and can be spayed. She is UTD on shots. Vixen has been transferred to a foster home to continue her weight loss program and will be spayed prior to adoption. She will not be available for adoption until that time. WE WILL NOT ADOPT ANY OF OUR BULLDOGS UNTIL AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN SPAYED OR NEUTERED BY THIS RESCUE. THIS IS NOT AN OPTION and asking to have the dog adopted intact will permanently eliminate the candidate from adoption with this rescue.
