My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lacey is a sweet bull terrier pit bull mix that came to us from Manhattan. She was on death row because she was limping, had poor leash manners and kennel cough. We are working with her on all of these in her foster home so she can be the best dog she can be! Lacey was known as Mercedez at the shelter and while she may have displayed poor leash manners there, she has certainly not done that with us! Lacey was bonded with a puppy at the shelter but sadly for Lacey he was saved and she was left behind. Lacey did very well on all of her tests at the shelter aside from the leash issues they noted. She has proven to be an incredibly loving lap dog since coming to LCPO! It was noted that Lacey may have had a CCL tear while at the shelter. We are getting her evaluated by a surgeon and doing what we need to ensure she is in tip top shape for adoption! Lacey has not shown any issues with other dogs or cats while at the shelter or since coming into our care. Lacey is not a small girl, she is rather large and strong however she is well mannered and very eager to please!
