Here's what the humans have to say about me:
***WE WILL NOT ADOPT THIS PUPPY OUTSIDE OF COLORADO OR SOUTHERN WYOMING. WE WILL NOT SHIP THE PUPPY OR ADOPT HIM OUT TO SOMEONE SIGHT UNSEEN!***
This adorable little boy is a 3 1/2 month old pure bred Red male Shiba Inu that came to us January 16th. His owner purchased him from a pet store and then realized that maybe a young puppy was not the best fit. But what we are really grateful for is the owner specifically wanted him to go to a rescue. She wasn't concerned with getting her money back by trying to return him to the pet store or trying to rehome him on craigslist, etc.
Since he is a puppy he is working on being quiet in his crate and potty training. He is being fed in his crate to associate it with good things and we would recommend this continue in his forever home. However he does scream in the crate randomly from time to time so probably not a good idea for apartments. He has only had a couple accidents in his foster home but both were the foster parents' fault for not keeping a good enough eye on him.
He has a lot of energy and loves playing with the dogs in his foster home, but he also thinks the cats like playing with him too, even though they don't, and he will sit on them and chew on them and not let them up. He can be swet and cuddley when he wants to be like a typical Shiba. He loves toys, or anything that he thinks is a toy so you will need to keep personal belongings picked up out of reach or he will get a hold of them.
He can be very quiet and seem like a calm well mannered puppy when he first meets new people but it tends to be nerves because in a couple of days he turns into a little ball of playful puppy fury ;-P
He is very much a drama queen in that if he gets stuck somewhere or remotely thinks he may have hurt himself, even if he hasn't, he will scream bloody murder.
up.
His adoption fee is $525.00 which includes his neuter, microchip, first two sets of shots, deworming and a professional 6 week puppy training course at a local approved establishment near the adopter's home.
