Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Cash is a three-year-old, 35 pound, Labrador Retriever/Dachshund mix whose owner is forced to move to a no-pets residence and she has asked SCDR to help find her beloved Lab/Doxie mix a loving home. Cash has the best of both worlds – the calm demeanor and temperament of Lab with the smaller stature of the Dachshund. Cash would be perfect for condo or apartment dwellers that fancy the Lab breed, but need a smaller dog to comply with residential restrictions.
Cash is sweet, quiet, well-behaved, and house trained. He loves long walks, enjoys the dog-park, but best of all he loves socializing with dogs smaller than he is. Big dogs intimidate Cash. He has the potential of being a wonderful “Therapy Dog”, visiting hospitals and nursing homes as well. Cash listens very well and knows the commands “sit”, “stay”, and will “come” when you call his name, then he will sit and wait to find out what you want of him. He behaves beautifully. At the same time, he is also a terrific watch dog, alerting his people when someone comes close to the house or if other dogs go by. He quiets on command.
Cash is a special baby boy, and he prefers to sleep in the big bed with his person, snuggling under the covers. Once he finds a spot and settles down, he stays put all night. He’s not a bed-hog. He’s a wonderful snuggler too. Cash gets along fine with small dogs, but he likes to chase cats, squirrels and birds. He is fine with children. Cash would like a home with a female dachshund for company if possible.
Cash’s vaccines are up-to-date and he has been micro-chipped. In our opinion, he is a priceless treasure. If you are interested in Cash, please contact Dena at (562) 694-6868 or email Dena@SCDR.org.
