Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Roxie (distinct black spot on top of head) and I am Lucy and we are only 12 weeks old as of the end of January and weigh just over 7 pounds. We are so thankful that the people at Safely Home Canine Rescue found out about us. You see, we were abandoned when we were really little, and we were happy back then, but we don't know why someone left us alone. We were in southern Illinois when someone drove up to a house and put us on the front porch, and then we started to get scared. The person who lived there took us to this outside pound, and we began to be not so happy anymore. Finally some lady came and got us because she thought they were going to do mean things to us, but then she made us live under a garage. We only really had each other for 3 or 4 weeks and were getting more and more scared. One day, another lady came and took us to the doctor and we heard her say that the people at Safely Home Canine Rescue were going to get us the next day. That night, we were so warm, but we were still scared.
The next day, the lady was right, a man with a big truck came and took us to safety. We were still scared and Roxie freaked out on the way home, but the man was nice to us, so we started to feel happy again, just a little bit. We got a bath and went to a babysitters house for a few days, and they have two big pitbull girls who were our big sisters. We really liked them and they liked us, and our babysitter and her husband were fun! We began to get even happier and started to wag our tails. Our bed was soft that night, and like every night, we slept real close to each other for safety.
Now we are in our long-term foster home with this real nice lady who has other dogs and a cat. She set up this awesome playpen for us and we are now really happy. We aren't so scared of people anymore because they are treating us really nice. We feel so safe now, but we have to tell you, we have to be adopted together ( Lucy does not like being without Roxie).
Read below to find out how you can meet us, but you have to promise to take care of us the rest of our lives, we promise we will make you happy forever.
