My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're an all-volunteer group and need advance notice to schedule appointments. We cannot accept same-day appointments.
To adopt, we need to receive a completed application (link found below). We do not conduct same-day adoptions - we need no less than a couple of days to review an application. Some animals may be in foster homes. For information on a specific animal, please visit our adoption center or email us at humaneswa@yahoo.com!

This teeny little guy is Hamilton, a male Tuxedo kitten who's going on 8 weeks of age this week! He's playful and energetic! He loves noisy toys! But he loves snuggles and wants to feel safe. Hamilton is very young, so will still need more vet care after adoption as well as neutering by age 6 months.
Hamilton needs a home without dogs and without small children. Kittens need monitoring for any health concerns, as well as plenty of time for bonding in a stable environment; so college students may need to think twice before deciding to adopt a kitten. Their needs take a lot of time out of the day. Please contact us or stop by our cat adoption center to ask about Hamilton!

Negative for FIV and FeLK, current on vaccinations.

Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters.
To apply for adoption, visit www.humanesocietyofwa.org or click HERE to fill out an online application.

Since Hamilton is too young to be neutered, an additional $100 refundable spay/neuter deposit is required at time of adoption to reinforce state law for all shelter/rescue animals to be fixed either before or after adoption. When animals are adopted from a shelter or rescue without being fixed due to young age, adopters are are required by law to have the animal fixed (at or before age 6 months). The spay/neuter deposit is refunded later upon delivery of proof (a certificate or vet records) that the kitten has been fixed. We must receive proof of the surgery by age 6 months, no matter the deposit. Pediatric spaying/neutering is an option to discuss with your vet around 4 months of age.
