Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Piper who asks for so little and yet deserves so much! Piper started her life on a farm as a mouser and was found during a feral TNR project. When asking the farmer about her he pretty much said “Who her? Why are you asking about her – she’s nothing special”! This “nothing special” kitty didn’t even have a name much less kindness. The farmer occasionally threw her some food but only when he remembered (which wasn’t often). Other than that she just survived as best she could. Due to lack of care she was riddled with fleas, worms and was pregnant (again). The farmer said she had been pregnant in the past but he couldn’t explain whatever happened to the kittens (?). Enough of that - we scooped her up to find her an inside home - she's too friendly and sweet to be released with the ferals!
Piper doesn’t get along with other cats (possibly because she used to compete with them for food) but is wonderful company. Her exposure to doggies is unknown but she’ll probably negotiate a truce (if not a friendship). She’s a quiet girl who loves her food, neck scratches and being brushed; other than a set meal time she is quite happy just sitting in a window watching the birds or snoozing in the sun. She doesn’t like to be picked up or held but if you place her on your lap and start to scratch her neck she'll purr up a storm and then scooch around to get more comfortable! She doesn’t really play with laser pointers but cat nip makes her giddy and silly. Being inside and having a warm bed and kind words is all she asks. Please consider adding Piper to your family – she has earned a special place in a kind person’s heart and home!
Piper tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and is spayed, front declawed, shots are current until 2015 and even micro-chipped.
