Why Choose me?
Kumba arrived as an owner surrender at the shelter during our volunteer visit so she still looks very frightened and shut down in these pictures. We’ll have happier ones soon! Though confused and apprehensive, Kumba cooperated with Animal Control staff as she prepared for her stay in the shelter. While exploring the interaction pen, she remained markedly low-energy, but responded readily to petting. When other dogs – especially puppies – came into her vicinity, Kumba considered them curiously with a wagging tail and friendly demeanor. Although walking on a leash isn’t one of Kumba’s strengths, she appears to be potty trained. She may still be unsure of her surroundings, but Kumba is comfortable with kisses and eager to explore!
