My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I’m Maggie and I was found wandering all alone in the cold on a busy Farm to Market road in north Houston. No one paid any attention to me until my rescuers got back in to town 2 days later, saw me, and brought me in the house. I’m about 10 months old (estimated birth date – April ’12) and I weigh about 18 pounds right now and am a Jack Russell Terrier (or mix). I very much have the Jack Russell personality. I’m very outgoing, gregarious, high energy, love chew toys, and LOVE playing with my housemate, a Chi-Weenie. We romp around until our tongues are hanging out and then we both go crash in our crate together. I am learning to play fetch, I can sit and am working on other new commands. I am crate trained and am working on house training now too! I also share my foster house with several cats and most of the time I ignore them - unless they run and then I chase them – I’m always very sorry when I get scolded. Oh, and I LOVE ice cubes! Give me a bowl of them and I’ll take one at a time to the rug to chomp on it until they are all gone. I would love to find a real forever home with a well fenced yard, kids, dogs and people to love and protect me (a laid back cat would be okay too). I would be most happy if I have another dog to play with – it’s my favorite thing! I’m a jumper so little kids (less than 5 years old) might get pushed over because I’m so excited when I see people.

Maggie is current on her shots, HW negative (on preventive), free of parasites and is scheduled to be spayed on February 15th. She will be available for adoption starting February 20th. Her adoption fee is $150.
