Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is sMILES; it’s really Miles. The sMILES is a play on words, because everyone says that I am happy all of the time. I was hurt before I met my foster parents, but I am getting better now. Much better. I am black and white in color and about six to eight years old. I am walking a little slow right now, because of the accident. I was hit by a car and had to have a hip operation. I kept a tough upper lip through the operation and my recovery; I did not give anyone a hard time. Everyone at the hospital said I was very brave and sweet. I still have a metal pin in my hip. I am not mad at people or other animals. It was a car that hit me, not a person.
I have a lot of new friends at my foster home, but I can’t play with them yet, even though I want to play with them soooo badly. I was from Texas, but now I live in Oklahoma. Did you see what O.U. did to Texas in football? Well, that is another story.
My foster parents have to remind me that I am not supposed to jump around, because I forget sometimes and want to play with my friends; both dogs and cats. I am quiet, but I bounce around a little when I get excited. I get the pin out of my hip in a couple of weeks; boy, I can hardly wait to run and jump and play again like I did before the accident.
I am looking for a new home. I don’t know what happened to my old family. I guess they just got lost after the accident. I miss them, but I have to go on with my life. I am looking for a new home; someone to take care of me and someone to love me as much as I will love them. Send me a letter – address- Lonely in Oklahoma.
