My story

p>Such a sweetheart! Remy is a 1 year old female blue merle Australian Shepherd mix. We think she is part Golden Retriever. She weighs about 50 pounds now and will probably be 55+ pounds when she is an adult. This girl is a lover. She enjoys attention and pets. In her forever home, she would like to snuggle and possibly get in someone's lap. Sweet Remy just wants to please her family and spend time with them.

Remy and her sister Brandy spent two months in a shelter before the rescue was contacted because their time was nearly over. She is still very much a puppy who is discovering the world. Remy needs to be crated when her family is away or at night. She is just starting to get used to a leash. This girl would greatly benefit from a professional training class to make progress faster. Due to her life in a shelter, Remy has had to overcome her timidness. An outgoing dog sibling or friend would help her to continue her journey to confidence. Remy likes people and kids once she meets them. She has absolutely no problem gently asking for a pet.

Remy is a medium energy girl. She loves to play with her sister, Brandy, and her other foster siblings. Her favorite playmate is her foster sibling, Chihuahua mix. She also loves chew toys. We recommend a secure fenced yard because Remy is smart and can jump over some barriers. We have not tested Remy with cats so we are suggesting a cat free home.
