Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATE: : Sentry goes in on the 17th for elbow surgery. He will have a few weeks recovery time, but he will then be ready for his forever home! Hi! My name is Sentry! I'm almost 6 months old and I'm growing like crazy, trying to keep up with my feet! I just love attention and get so excited . . . . . they tell me it's one of those "puppy things". And although I still have my sharp little puppy teeth, I have a soft mouth. My foster mom says that is a huge plus. I love to sit pretty for doggie cookies and you could probably entice me to do other wonderful things for cookies (maybe a down or two?) My foster mom has been making sure that I'm well socialized (you know how important that is for us German Shepherds!) . . . . I've hung out with the big dogs in doggie day care . . . . WOW! I have some stuff going on with my elbows that needs to be checked on, and they tell me we will be figuring this stuff out soon. But please consider adopting me because I have been told that I have the most amazing, wonderful personality for a little guy . . . . . they called it something like "a really nice temperament". The rescue requires previous German Shepherd ownership experience for any of our dogs under the age of 2. If you are interested in meeting Sentry and providing a loving, forever home, please complete an adoption application at http://www.northwestgermanshepherd.org. The adoption donation ranges from $150 to $450 and is based on the age of the dog. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care, and adoption of our dogs. Adoption fees may be tax deductible as we are a 501(c)(3) organization. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations and are microchipped. .
