Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sir Winston, quite a character! He has two different colored eyes, the left one is beautiful amber, and the right one is dark smokey black. Although he is full grown (27 inches high at the shoulder), he still has some of that gangly-teenager showing through. He is very happy and gets along with other dogs. If your dog wants to play, Winston is ready. If your dog is older and grumpier, Winston learns quickly to not bother them. Winston is very attentive to ALL details. When he first came to our house, he studied intently the grandfather clock pendulum and chimes, and watched TV. He walked the inside perimeter of the house several times, always in the same pattern. Outside, he watches every single thing that happens and is fascinated by other animals. He also walked the perimeter of the fence for several days, again in the same pattern. Now that he knows the fence line, he does not try to get under the front gate any longer. He is not protective of his food, but does exhibit some anxiety about other dogs wanting to get in his crate with his toys and bone. If you leave his crate open, he will bring all his toys to the living room and rotate between them to play. He helps himself to the dog toy basket, preferring the soft fuzzy ones that he tries to chew apart. He will also chew his bed, so he sleeps without a blanket now. He has not tried to chew any pillows or the couch or any other people item. I have put my whole hand in his mouth to get a fuzzy toy out, and he could care less. Winston is totally housebroken, to the point he will not potty in his outdoor kennel. He will crate in the house or kennel outside without objection. He knows sit and down. He knows stay, but is not very good at it. He does to seem to know heel, so we are working on that along with his recall. He is so fascinated with everything that he is easily distracted outside. He will let you touch him anywhere, but does seem to be afraid of water from a hose, and he will not walk through large puddles. When you try to attach the leash to his collar, he gets happy and wiggles so much it is sometimes hard to get the leash snapped. If you tie his leash to anything he will chew it through. If you have a hole under your fence, he will try to go under. His nose sniffs your table and counter top, but he is not a food thief. He takes treats extremely gently, and will drop them before picking them back up and eating them. He will let his dinner sit until he is ready to eat. He really is an enjoyable dog! He is happy and curious and energetic, and tries hard to please.
Winston 1 year old male is neutered, vaccines, heartworm negative, free of internal and external parasites and microchipped. He is located Northern California but NADSR does adopt out Nationally
