Wonderful Sandy: One smart pup!

Sandy is an Australian Cattle dog mix. Cattle dogs are one of the smartest dog breeds in the world! She's only half but still a smart little pup!

Right now Sandy is about 3 months old and 12-15 lbs. now but will only be about 40 lbs when fully grown. She is sweet and funny and like most pups needs lots of stimulation and training so she can reach her full potential.

Sandy is from Guatemala, a country that loves purebred dogs but treats mix breed pups like Sandy with indifference---often abusing them. We work with the dog shelter down there to rescue a few lucky puppies a year so they can come to America in the hopes of finding a new home. Sandy's story is a sad sad story....she was found abandoned by the side of the road, very thin and malnourished. Her mother no where in sight. There was no other litter-mates with her so we suspect she was adopted then abandoned once they got bored with their new 'toy.'

Sandy is now a healthy happy puppy who is ready for her new home. She is a little on the shy side so you will have to expose her to all the sounds and sights of the world.

If you are interested in Sandy you will need to fill out an application before meeting her to make sure it's a good match, and there is a fee for adoption as we are a we are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit. Sandy has been spayed and is up to date on all shots.
