My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SABRINA is just precious; very sweet; loves other dogs. She is crate trained, great with children, great on a leash, and even knows "Sit" and "Stay"!

Age: 1-2 years
Sex: Female
Weight: 40 pounds
Breed: Labrador Retriever mix
Activity Level: High
Children: Yes
Dogs: Yes
Cats: Unknown
Housebroken: Yes

Notes: Wow- this girl is extremely well behaved! She not only walks well on a leash, but she knows how to sit and stay!

Sabrina was pulled from the shelter per my request since she had been there for two months with Wendy and Sophie. These three girls captured the imagination of the staff at the pound and they would not but them down. As the pound puts down dogs 3-4 times a week, this speaks volumes to the personality of these girls. Their sweetness and their demeanor literally saved their lives!

Now, won't you bring this precious girl home after her horrible two month ordeal? The weather in Memphis has been in the 100s and she tolerated the terrible heat, the scary sights, and the frightening sounds of the pound for more that two months. She deserves a warm bed and a family that will just adore her!

Sabrina in currently boarding at our vet clinic in Memphis, TN. We are comprised of a small group of volunteers from Delaware, New England and Tennessee trying to reduce the euthanization rate (previously 90%) at the Tipton County Animal Control shelter in Brighton, Tennessee. This shelter is forced to euthanize thousands of animals each year due to irresponsible pet owners that do not spay/ neuter their dogs in the area. Millions of dogs in America are euthanized each year due to lack of space and lack of funding to try and find them better homes.

For our dogs that are out of state, we try to promote adoptions based on trust that we will send you the most wonderful dog for you home; our foster situation is quite limited and thus it’s difficult for us to bring dogs here prior to finding a committed, forever home. We realize that adopting a dog sight unseen may seem like a stressful situation, but we truly do our very best to make sure that we make a great match for every dog and every family.
